Who was...?
Virginia Woolf transformed the way stories are told with her literature. Novels such as Mrs Dalloway, To the Lighthouse, and Orlando turn inward, making thoughts, memories, and emotions the true center of the narrative. Virginia Woolf did not write novels to “read and pass on,” but to immerse oneself in. Her texts reward patience—they often change the way we think about time, thought, and our inner lives.
Virginia Woolf was born on 25 January 1882, in London and was a central figure of literary modernism. Her works open up new perspectives on identity, time, and gender roles, continuing to inspire readers today through their linguistic sensitivity and formal freedom.
